Wheelwright Cottage, Bishopstone

This period cottage had seen many changes to it's walls over the years and had damp issues being caused by the thick layering of sand cement render and concrete repairs.

Once carefully removed the walls were repaired with new chalk cob where appropriate and then spray harled with layers of porous lime render and slurry to show off the underlying history and different materials. The open texture increased the surface area and so decreased the drying time and helps maintain it that way.
